In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day interaction with customers, working directly with the technicians and general service staff to identify mechanical/maintenance problems and concerns for the customer's vehicle. The Service Manager is responsible for ensuring a customer experience that meets and exceeds the manufacturer’s customer satisfaction index and for monitoring and improving customer satisfaction. Ford experience helpful.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage the overall operations of the service department, including workflow, staffing, and customer interactions.
• Supervise and motivate service technicians to ensure efficient diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance work.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase upselling opportunities while maintaining high-quality service standards.
• Oversee vehicle repairs such as transmissions, oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
• Ensure accurate auto estimating and service writing to facilitate smooth billing processes.
• Maintain excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring a positive experience.

Qualifications

• Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management.
• Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures, including transmissions, suspensions, brakes, oil changes, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments, and auto body work.
• Experience in upselling services while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
• Prior mechanic or service technician experience is highly desirable to understand technical aspects thoroughly.
• Familiarity with auto estimating software and automotive repair standards.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team of technicians and support staff.
• Strong customer service orientation coupled with effective communication skills.
