• Showcase the dealership’s vehicles and explain their features and warranties to customers
• Answer customer questions about cars, financing and purchase process
• Accompany customers on test drives, collecting licenses and documentation beforehand per best practices
• Negotiate car prices and trade-in values for customers’ vehicles
• Coordinate with the finance department to determine each customer’s financing and ownership options
• Contact past customers to ensure they are satisfied with their vehicles

· Performs transmission repair as outlined on repair order with  efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory time  allowances and standards.

· Diagnoses cause of malfunction.

· Removes and disassembles transmission unit and performs repair.

· Examines vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.

· Advises service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be made.

· Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.

-Thoroughly examine the vehicle damages 

-Return the vehicle back to factory specifications 

-Remove vehicle trim to gain access to vehicle body 

-Can properly fill depressions with body filler and insure a quality repair 

-Able to remove damaged parts using power tools and cutting torch 

-Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment 

-Straighten bent automobile frames using frame wrack

• Applying lubricants to the moving parts of vehicle engines to  prevent premature engine wear and ensure optimal engine performance.
• Lubricating wheel bearings to prevent excessive tire wear.
• Performing engine cleanings to prevent rust formation.
• Replacing cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required.
• Performing tire rotations to ensure even tire wear.
• Testing tire pressure and adding air as needed.
• Thoroughly inspecting customers’ vehicles for oil leaks.
• Making recommendations for additional servicing based on initial vehicle inspections.
• Notifying the Service Advisor when vehicle maintenance or servicing cannot be completed within scheduled timeframes.

• Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
• Prepares tax and title documents.
• Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications.
• Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
• Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
• Bills out all dealer trades and prepares Certificates of Origin.
• Maintains a system to verify out-of-state titles.

• Greeting customers and directing them to an available technician

• Consulting with technicians about needed repairs and alternatives that can be offered in place of expensive repairs

• Answering customer questions about service outcomes and consulting with technicians when necessary

• Informing customers about potential cost savings and warranty protections

• Assisting customer with deciding to fix their car through the dealership’s shop or trading the vehicle in

• Overseeing and managing the service center’s scheduling and workflow

• Informing customers of changes in service or when their vehicle is ready to be picked up

· Accurately perform all repairs and maintenance 

· Communicate clearly and professionally with group leader and advisor 

· Follow safety procedures when working with tools and equipment 

Qualifications include but are not limited to: 

· Minimum 1-year experience/training as an automotive technician 

· Positive, can-do attitude 

· Valid driver’s license
